The objects 2MASS J00123424-2255168 and 2MASS J10090512-3650026 were identified as long period variables of Mira type by investigation of ASAS-3 light curves. Period and amplitude of the stars were derived from ASAS-3 V data; spectral information was taken from the Catalogue of Stellar Spectral Classifications. The objects were checked against the Strasbourg CDS Vizier service and the International Variable Star Index for pre-existence in variability catalogues.
